Once you've unwrapped all the individual sweets, it's time for the pièce de résistance - our recipe for easy yet elegant Panettone Chocolate Orange Truffles.

Ingredients:

  • 1 Panettoni Mini Chocolate, crumbled

  • 3.5 oz Majani Dark Chocolate with Candied Orange Peels

  • 2 tbsp heavy cream

  • 1 tsp orange zest

  • Cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions:

  1. Crumble the chocolate Panettoni into a bowl until it resembles fine breadcrumbs.

  2. Break the Majani Dark Chocolate with Candied Orange Peels into pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl.

  3. Heat the heavy cream in a small saucepan until it starts to simmer. Then, pour it over the chocolate pieces, stirring gently until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.

  4. Add the orange zest to the melted chocolate mixture and mix thoroughly.

  5. Fold the chocolate mixture into the crumbled Panettoni until well combined.

  6. Cool the mixture in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until it's firm enough to handle.

  7. Once chilled and firm, scoop out teaspoonfuls of the mixture and roll between your palms to form small balls.

  8. Roll each truffle in cocoa powder to coat, tapping off any excess.

  9. Place the finished truffles on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate again for at least 30 minutes to set.

  10. Serve the truffles in a decorative box or on a platter as an elegant end to your holiday meal.

These melt-in-your-mouth morsels are the perfect final course for a holiday meal or a sweet treat with coffee or tea on a winter's evening. The rich chocolate mixed with bright citrus makes for a dessert that feels special. Keep them in the fridge and enjoy over the holiday season when you need a little pick-me-up.
